  • Payment information: payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store complete payment-card numbers on our website.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • process payments, fulfil orders, arrange shipping, provide tracking, handle returns, and provide support;
  • create and administer customer accounts;
  • communicate about orders, deliveries, returns, accounts, and service requests;
  • improve our products, services, website, and customer experience;
  • protect against fraud, security incidents, and misuse; and
  • meet legal, accounting, tax, and record-keeping obligations.

If our cart-recovery service is enabled, we may use checkout contact details to remind you about an unfinished purchase. Where required by law, these messages will include an unsubscribe option.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use necessary cookies to operate features such as the shopping cart, checkout, account access, security, and website preferences. We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic, visitor behaviour, and ecommerce activity.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can learn more about Google’s privacy practices at Google Privacy & Terms and use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We do not currently use Meta/Facebook pixels, Google Ads remarketing, or other advertising pixels. If we add these services in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and cookie choices before activating them.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only when needed to operate our business, including with:

  • Stripe, to process payments;
  • shipping carriers and shipment-tracking providers, to deliver and track orders;
  • website hosting, email, security, maintenance, and analytics providers;
  • professional advisers, insurers, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties where required or permitted by law; and
  • a buyer or successor in connection with a business transaction, where permitted by law.

Some service providers may process information outside your province, state, or country. Those providers may be subject to the laws of the jurisdictions where they operate.

6. Marketing communications

We may offer newsletters, promotions, or other marketing communications. Where required, we will seek consent before sending marketing messages. Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe option.

Opting out of marketing does not stop essential transactional messages about an order, payment, delivery, return, account, or service request.

7. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

  • Order, payment, tax, and accounting records: generally six years after the relevant tax year;
  • Customer-service and contact-form communications: up to 24 months after the request is resolved;
  • Abandoned-cart information: up to 90 days, unless it becomes part of an order or is needed for a legal purpose;
  • Marketing contact details: until you unsubscribe or after 24 months of inactivity; and
  • Analytics information: according to the retention settings of the applicable analytics provider.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including restricted access, security monitoring, and encryption in transit where supported. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Please use a strong, unique password for your account and contact us promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

9. Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

To make a request, contact us using the details above. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We may retain certain information where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including fraud prevention and tax record-keeping.

If you have a concern we cannot resolve, you may have the right to contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or another applicable privacy regulator.

10. Children

Our website and products are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
